Meet Wendy!

Been spending the week housesitting for a coworker of mine and taking care of their dog. The dog's name is Wendy. I thought this was a cool pic of Wendy when she was being sweet to me!! She really is a sweet doggie and has quite a personality. I don't remember what breed she is but I think she is a mixture of about 3 different breeds. She loves to play ball and never knows when to stop. Maybe in this pic she is actually asking me to go outside and play ball! She is really a lot of fun and no trouble to care for at all. She is fun to watch just being herself even. Her Mom and Dad are in Hawaii but will be returning home to her Monday night...late. They celebrated Thanksgiving in Hawaii as well as their 38th wedding anniversary. I am happy for them to be able to have gone and they have been having a wonderful time and enjoying themselves. One last pic of Wendy and I will say so long for now......

Woof! Woof!

Yes the Thanksgiving day itself is over with now. Hopefully everyone had a good time with their friends and family and loved ones. If not, maybe it will work out for next year to have a good time with them. If there is a next year......who knows.....if there is a next year, we have no guarantee that everyone would be in the next year with us.
Yeah Christmas is the next holiday. Yipee. Who knows what to expect at Christmas?
Yes I guess it is pretty grim.....
Want to call me Scrooge? OK....
Putting things aside......
I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and enjoys the festivity and the excitement that the holidays tend to bring. May you truly be overjoyed and overwhelmed.....may we all be.

She had a slumber party over the weekend for her birthday. I will be talking with her later today. Happy Birthday Madison....Grandma loves you very very much. Wish I could be there with you for your birthday.

Hint For The Day

Reheating Refrigerated Bread
To warm biscuits, pancakes, or muffins that were refrigerated, place them in a microwave with a cup of water. The increased moisture will keep the food moist and help it reheat faster.

Ronnie

I haven't said much about my son Ronnie in a while. Heck, I haven't even posted in a while!! Anyway, I talked with Ronnie on Saturday for a while. My heart really aches for him. He is still such a strong person. He is taking some college classes. To be exact, he is taking English, Math, and a Blueprint class. He loves his blueprint class and his math is ok. He has always enjoyed math. He has always had a problem with english!! College is no exception for him.. English is really hard for him and he concentrates on it so much, and not really accomplishing much, that his other 2 classes are suffering as well now. I told him to get his work done on his other 2 classes and get it out of the way, then he will only have his english to contend with. At least if he has to repeat his english, he could have the others behind him. I wish there were something that I could do for him. I want to see him so bad. It's been almost a year now since I have seen him. Maybe next time I can write more. He is healthy and that is important. I'm just aching for my son.

Expanding Frosting!

Another helpful hint for the day. Maybe this is some good timing with the holidays upon us.

Expanding Frosting
When you buy a container of cake frosting from the store, whip it with your mixer for a few minutes. You can double it in size. You get to frost more cake/cupcakes with the same amount. You also eat less sugar/calories per serving.
