It's Vacation Time!

How nice it is to be on vacation from work this week! I don't really have anything planned too much, but it's nice to not have to go in every morning! On Wednesday, we are thinking of taking the quads out for a ride. We have been too busy it seems like to get them out too much this summer. So glad the "heat wave" has moved on out of our area. Today it is in the 80s and might catch up to 90 or so, but what a welcome relief it is from the heat.

My son's birthday was last Wednesday the 22nd. He had a good day and actually celebrated it with his friends and family on Saturday the 29th. His sister made all the arrangements for him and took him to the resturant of his choice, Joe's Crab Shack! Afterwards he was to stroll the boardwalk area and maybe take in a movie. I know he was pretty tired when he got back, but I haven't had the chance to hear about it all yet! He did email me and told me he had a good time, but was just too tired to write! What a swell guy he is! On his birthday too was the last day of his classes for the summer session. He will get a short break and start up the fall session around mid August. He is so excited about getting to take some college courses. He is unsure at this point what field he will endeaver just yet, so he is just getting the basics out of the way at the present time. There is no rush really, but he wants to get it done! I'm so very proud of him.

Maybe next time I put a post here I will include some pics of something! I know it is more interesting when you have pics to look at too! Ok, alright already, I will work on that one!!

Have a great day, stay cool, and do something fun for yourself.

Been A Long Time

Yes it has been a long time since I have posted anything to my blog. I have just been busy and had all intentions to get to the blog, but intentions doesn't get the posting here does it? Just like everywhere it seems like in the United States, it is HOT here!! I'm glad we don't have the high humidity here though like where I am from.
I went rafting for the first time yesterday down the South Fork of the American River. What a fun time that was for sure. I would love to go again, and the oppourtunity is there alright. There were 7 of us on this trip, and we all had a blast. Too bad I don't have any pics as proof I really did this!!! Nothing like pushing 50 and going down river for the first time in your life! BUT, it may just not be the last time!!!
Hopefully I will get back and and start posting more!
Stay Cool!!
