Easy Deviled Eggs

Put cooked egg yolks in a zip lock bag. Seal, mash till they are all broken up. Add remainder of ingredients (whatever you like to use in your mixture), reseal, keep mashing it up mixing thoroughly, cut the corner tip of the baggy, squeeze mixture into egg half. Just throw the bag away when done....easy cleanup.

Here is another pic of Alyssa! Sheree worked at a dialysis (spelling) clinic when she was pregnant with Alyssa and continued working there until Alyssa was about a month or so old before she quit to be a stay home mom. Alyssa found her moms safety glasses she wore at the clinic and decided to put them on! Sheree grabbed the camera in time to get this shot! I told Sheree they may be safety glasses for her, but for Alyssa its more like a safety shield!! Sheree calls Alyssa her little scientist in this pic! They make her eyes look magnified! Beautiful big blue eyes she has to go with that blonde hair!!

Today we took the quads out on the trails...had a great day of riding. After we got back we cleaned up and hit the chinese restuarant and then topped it off with our Starbucks and headed home. A great way to end a nice day.

MaryEllen, you asked about the 4th. Yes as far as I know at this point I think we are going to be there. We had tenative plans to go to Gardnerville, but I think we might be cancelling out of that trip. At this point we don't have any plans of dressing up, so we will just be us! If all goes well, I'm sure we will see you there.

Helpful Hint For The Day

A cool idea don't you think? Periodically, I will post a "Helpful Hint For The Day". I hope you like them, and who knows, you might even put some to use! OK, here we go........

PIZZA

Heat up leftover pizza in a non-stick skillet on top of the stove, set heat to med-low and heat till warm. This keeps the crust crispy. No soggy micro pizza.

This was seen on The Cooking Channel and was told that it really does work.

Here I Am!!

Yep....this is ME!! I was 1 year old according to what was written on the back of the pic. This is the ONLY baby pic that I know of that is of me. It is definately the only one I have. It was kinda ragged and I finally scanned it and did some touchup to restore it. I thought it turned out pretty well. I'm proud of myself! Now...what do you think? Do you see any resemblence of me and Alyssa? I did have the blonde hair and blue eyes at least that she does! I think I might still have that "baby fat" too!! lol I have got to send this pic to Sheree too, I'm not sure she has ever even seen it before! Back in those days, there was nothing but black and white photos, but I would love to know what color the dress was! I bet if I was walking at that time, when I walked in it, I bet I looked like a little butterball! lol Oh well, I think its pretty cute though! There was a pic of me, 8x10 actually of when I was 17 months old. Who knows what happened to that pic. It used to hang on my grandparents wall in the living room at home along with my brothers pic when he was about 3 1/2 yrs old. Those pics was taken when my grandparents got us. I would love to have that pic of me, but I have not a clue as to where it would be today. It probably doesn't even exist any longer. I remember it though, I looked very shy in that pic. Who knows what all I had gone through by that time. But anyway, there I am!!

Happy Birthday To Me!!

Yesterday, the 24th, was my birthday! Thank you Vic & MaryEllen for the nice birthday wishes! Vic, I missed that scrumptious looking coconut cake though. weep weep sob sob!!

How about this beautiful little girl here? This is Alyssa, Sheree's daughter. She is now 19 months old...I think this pic was when she was 14 months old. Sheree sent it along with a few others to me for my birthday! I was so happy to get them and she has grown so much since I saw her in January...of course! Sheree keeps me posted about her, just not that good on sending me pics of her! Maybe that will change now though. I will have to post a pic of ME when I was about a year old I think and see if you can see any resemblence of me in her!! You know how us grandmas are! lol Yes, she is walking and talking some. Her security (other than her mommy) is a teddy bear. She loves her teddy! Sheree truly enjoys being a mom and she does a very good job of taking care of Alyssa. She really is a good mom. I'm very proud of her. She is doing a good job!!

Button took me and Jana to Cattlemans for our birthdays. Jana's birthday was the 21st and she had never been there before. She truly loved it and we all 3 got to bring home food to enjoy the next day even. That is my most favorite steak house out here. I had a ribeye, and Jana did as well and Button had the sirloin. It was wonderful. Button also bought me a bicycle! Here I am in my 2nd childhood I guess! Button says I didn't have much of a childhood so it's ok that I have one now! Gotta love that girl!! She is right though. Never has birthdays been anything more than just another day, but she makes it fun for me. Being raised by old school grandparents, it was just nothing they celebrated. Along with all the holidays etc. I was a teenager before I ever knew what a "Christmas Dinner" was. All of that is another story though.

I did try to post here on the 23rd, but I couldn't get blogger to cooperate with me. I'm thrilled to post here finally. Thank you to you who do check out my blog though....I never know if it gets looked at or not unless you leave a message, and I thought that probably it was not looked at much anyway. Guess I was wrong huh? I mean, Vic you and MaryEllen posted birthday wishes to me before I even posted about my birthday!! Thank you both again.

Two Weeks????

OMG I can't beleive it's been 2 weeks since I posted here! Seems like I have been busy or no time to post though. We've been housesitting and taking care of an old sickly cat that is really pretty, and an old horse too. Hombre, the horse is really cool. He loves to eat carrots from your hands! The first time I gave him carrots from my hand it was scary...for me!! I have never had much dealings with a horse, but he didn't bite me! It was fun just to watch him eat his hay and/or grain when I fed him. I would just stand there and watch him some...and boy was he a noisy eater!! Button took care of Sophie, the cat, more so than I did. Sophie is a really old cat and has to have medicine which she doesn't like. A pretty cat though, and I think she must have had a pretty good life. Now, the sit job is over and we are glad that we don't have to make that drive into and out of that house. It was a terrible place to have built a house. Such a steep hill to come up out of and hardly any room to turn around once you got in there. In fact, I almost got myself stuck in there in my truck. Of course, I do have a large truck...not a baby truck....one that you need 40 acres to turn around! We moved some chairs that was in the way of an area that we could use to turn around and when I backed into that area, we found out why the chairs were there! It was VERY SOFT ground. I had to put in 4wd to get out of there! Needless to say, we didn't take my truck back over there! The jeep can turn on a dime and was much easier to manuever there than my truck!

Yesterday, we went to the Rock'n For The Kids that was at the fairgrounds. It was a rock climbing challenge...for jeeps, buggies, etc., not for people to climb! It was quite interesting and fun to watch. Button bought me a tshirt that is pretty cool, and told me happy birthday! We did get some pics of the event, and Button may post some on her blog. You will have to check out her blog if you want to see them!

Speaking of my birthday....Button will be treating me to Cattleman's on Friday night. We are taking a friend with us as well, whose birthday is the 21st. So there will be 2 of us celebrating our birthdays that night! I love a good steak and Cattlemans is the place! The Cowboy Ribeye is what I will have. Love ribeye steak and they have the most tasty, juicy ribeye you could sink your teeth into! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! LOL Yes, I'm looking forward to next weekend already!! So excited about it, I decided to take Friday off from work even!!

It being Sunday now, it's football day! The 49ers will play at 1 today and the Raiders play at 5. The Saints are playing right now, but they are not on a channel we can get so I have to keep up with their score from the game that is on presently. As of now, they are winning 10-0 against the Eagles. GO SAINTS!! I truly hope they can shut out the Eagles but I will be just as happy with a win for them. They are currently 4-1 so it would be way nice to see them go 5-1, especially against the Eagles. Of course I am pulling for the 49ers to win today as well. They did win against the Raiders last week. I was glad to see that!! I know, I know, the Raiders bigtime fans were not happy about that! Don't get me wrong though, I like the Raiders too, but I will pull for the 9ers over the Raiders. As long as the Raiders aren't playing the 9ers, I will pull for the Raiders! At least I will get to see both of those games today. One thing that I would LOVE to do, is to take Button to a 49er game. I wouldn't care who they were playing just as long as I could take her to the game. She has NEVER been to a live football game and it would thrill me so much to be able to take her to one. Maybe one day...I certainly hope so. I would love to do that for her.

This and That!

Here is a pic of some pretty water plants in the river that I thought was really pretty. This was taken while on one of our ATV rides. It's no wonder that we love going out on rides when we can find treasures like this! We take some of our rides kinda easy just so we can find some great pic oppourtunities...and what a find we get sometimes. I love the clouds as well and get some pretty neat cloud pics too. We did have a very nice ride yesterday doing the Buckskin Joe trail again. Going down that trail is on the technical side but it seems coming back up the trail is not as bad! It takes a little longer to go down but rather quick coming back up. We had a nice enjoyable day but today I am a little sore in my arms! I've been wanting a bicycle to ride for the excercise and it would help keep the muscles from being sore. After talking a bit, it seems like I am looking at around $150-180 to get a good one...and if I'm going to invest some money like that, it will have to be the best I could get because I don't have any plans of getting one and then it not serve me as well as I would like and have to get another one! Yikes! But maybe one day it will come along for me. I'm just going to have to not fret about it at this time, and get some other things paid off before I can take on anymore. How did I get off on that one?!!

It's football Sunday! The 9ers aren't doing very well, and the Saints at this time is trailing as well. I will keep my hopes up for them none the less. Raiders will play this afternoon so I will hope for them as well. Bet you've never heard anyone go for such teams before eh? LOL Oh well, if I like a team, I like them. It doesn't matter to me what conference or division they are in! I like football but I'm not THAT much into it!! So as for me...GO 49ers...GO SAINTS....GO RAIDERS...and may the best team make it all the way! Have a great Sunday and week ahead.
